Visiting Zavalatica, Zitna and Cara

Zavalatica is farily easy to reach from the mainland by daily ferry lines.

Zavalatica has two grocery stores, few restaurants and cafes and a night bar.

Staying in Zavalatica is good starting point for excursions to island of Lastovo and its islets.

Cara is well connected with Korcula Town as well as with Vela Luka - both important arrival points for island of Korcula.

There is a daily bus service from Korcula to Cara that runs few times a day. Here is a schedule:

By Bus from Korcula to Cara - daily bus departures (via Žrnovo and Pupnat ) :

• weekdays: 04.10; 06.40; 10.15; 14.10; 15.00; 18.30
• Saturdays: 04.10; 06.40; 10.15; 15.00; 18.30
• Sundays: 06.30; 07.45; 15.00; 18.30
  

By bus from Vela Luka to Cara - daily bus departure (via Smokvica and Blato) :

• weekdays: 04:10, 06:15, 06:40, 10:15, 12:15, 14:10, 15:00, 18:30
• Saturdays: 04:10, 06:15, 10:15, 12:15, 15:00, 18:30
• Sunday: 05:00, 06:15, 12:15, 15:00, 18:30

Note : Both buses proceed further to either Korcula or Vela Luka. The journey last about 20 minutes both ways.

Zavalatica and Zitna are not connected with public transport. You would need to come to Cara and then walk or take local taxi for short ride to either of these places.
